This Senior Certification course is designed to provide advanced techniques as well as a creative challenge for the individuals who have completed Level One certification.
There are a total of seven projects taught over 32 hours.  This course teaches students to incorporate gold foil, brass and fine silver bezel wire. It also introduces the use of three-dimensional design, with emphasis on detail and fine finishing.

Successful completion of this course entitles you to apply for Senior Instructor Status Art Clay World, USA, approves and certifies instructors into the Senior Instructor community by reviewing an application and examining a selection of 3 pieces of original work. The pieces submitted must reflect the techniques and skills the individual learned during their Art Clay education, as well as the ability to creatively design original pieces while following guidelines.

We will run it concurrently with the Senior Level Certification if there is interest.

KURT MADISON Instructor is a fine artist, sculptor, jeweler and glass worker who lives and works in Spokane, Washington. With 30 years experience in the fine arts and design field, he has worked almost continuously in the arts since completing his undergraduate arts degree at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1976. In 1980, he began working with glass using blown, kiln worked and cold glass elements in his sculptural work. In 1987 he completed his MFA in Sculpture at Tyler School of Fine Arts – Temple University, Philadelphia.

In the mid to late 1990’s he returned to metalsmithing and jewelry design, an earlier field of work and study. In 2000, Kurt began working with the new metal clay materials. In 2002, he took the instructor certification for the Art Clay Silver materials. Working with the Art Clay materials, teaching workshops as well as advising and monitoring an online forum,
