People beginning to work in ART or with some experience will find this relaxed, informal class is for students of all levels of ability. Bring along all your art materials and something you are working on or a photo to work from.
Draw and paint in the media of your choice. Whether you choose acrylics, oils, charcoal, pencil, watercolors or pastels the emphasis will be on exploring your own style and to get help and support needed to learn skills, along with coaching needed to develop your own style, as well as instruction in composition, color, materials and techniques to develop and expand your knowledge.

Learn easy, step-by-step fundamentals of watercolor, including tools, supplies, techniques, washes,
handling the brush and paint, choosing a subject and designing the layout.
Returning students, bring a picture of your own to work from and complete with instructor assistance.

Beginning Watercolor Workshop- all supplies furnished. If you have always wanted to try watercolor but not sure of supplies then this is the class for you. We will learn about supplies and the quick and easy basics of how to create a beautiful watercolor painting. You will experience the enjoyment and exciting world of watercolors!

1 day we will define shapes with pen and ink then paint with watercolors. An interesting way to create depth with value changes and learn a variety of brushwork. Class will be part demo and a lot of hands on painting.

How To Mix Nature's Greens If you're going to paint the landscape, it is hard to avoid Nature's green. This is definitely the problem color, yet so lovely to look at in nature. Some artists have no green on their palette. Learn to look and analyze a color you see and instantly know how to mix that color.

Why do artists always paint bowls of fruit? Because painting a still life is an excellent way to begin painting from real life. A still life allows you to control the composition-what is included and how it is arranged. You control the light source. You can take as much time as you need because a still life stays still!
